Will it mess up Cryptomator if add files to the structure?

If I wanted to annotate the Cryptomator file structure by adding unencrypted sidecar files to the directory structure, would Cryptomator view that as an error? Go offline? Delete the sidecars?

Cryptomator will function as usual. Filenames that cannot be decrypted will be ignored. It won’t delete anything. In some cases, it may show warnings in the log file but that’s about it.
