Hi, I am new to this. I want to use Cryptomator with Carbon Copy Cloner. And it will be greatly appreciated if there was a detailed instructions for newbies who are not well versed in tech language or terminal (I am guessing?).
And all this sounds like another language to me. How do I “allow_root” for Cryptomator?
I have FUSE installed, but I am not managing to find the options to allow me to use it. I want to use it with Carbon Copy Cloner.
A step by step breakdown would be greatly appreciated if anyone has some time to do so.
Thank you.
Have you tried to append it to “custom mount flags” in the Vault Options dialog? FUSE options need to be preceded by -o
.
I want instructions for this as well. So far, nothing I’ve found has worked. I use Cryptomator on both macOS Monterey and Ventura, using Carbon Copy Cloner 6. Thanks for all your help in advance.
Any feedback on this matter?
I am not a tech guy but I guess it shouldn’t be hard to get the right flag here allow_root to get CCC to work, should it?
Greatly appreciate if Cryptomator support could help us here. Thx!

Good morning,
I managed to use CCC (Carbon Copy Cloner) thanks to Mac FUSE-T !!
I have :
-
just downloaded the app HERE (FUSE-T - Downloads).
-
Installed
-
Change volume type to: FUSE-T
-
Uncheck Mount Custom Settings
NOW :
- CCC works
- Saving is faste r!
- The apple search “Spotlight” works !
- All without any assembly customization to do !
