Unable to decrypt files with sanitizer

Sanitizer Vault Version 7 Compatibility?

Hi. I am trying to recover hidden/lost files due to two machines syncing in the same directory. However, when I try to run Sanitizer (v0.16), I get the error “Check failed: Vault version mismatch. Expected: 6 Actual: 7”. This is most likely because I updated my vaults to the new format used by the 1.5.0-beta2 version. Are there any options for me to proceed, or do I have to wait until Sanitizer is updated? Many thanks.

There is the plan to integrate its functions into the Cryptomator app rather than updating sanitizer. But this could take some time.

No, not now. Our Plans are to integrate something similar to sanitizer into cryptomator, see https://github.com/cryptomator/cryptomator/issues/1224 But you don’t need the integrity check, if you have created and stored the vault locally. Most of the problems are due to incomplete sync. A partial check of the vault on another system can be done be comparing the existence and size of encrypted files and the general vault structure. But you won’t find broken directory or symlinks or broken short…
