Huge latency to open / save office files

Dear all,

Cryptomator was running perfectly fine until a few days ago (maybe due an update, I don’t remember). Since then, it takes me minimum 20 seconds to open any 15ko office file. I tried many manipulation (switch to WinFsp, try to keep local copy of files…) but nothing solved my problem. It seems that it’s due to a sync issue between office and cryptomator. Does anyone could help?

Welcome to the Cryptomator Community :slightly_smiling_face:

recently we recieved another user report about this lagging behaviour on our issue tracker: Microsoft 365: Severe performance issues · Issue #4077 · cryptomator/cryptomator · GitHub

Unfortunately, the reason is currently not known.

@lepinceau1 Do you still experience the problems?

If so, please post the output of the following terminal command (it requires an administrative terminal):

fltmc filters

It might be an issue of an intrusive AV product.

Hi, here are the filters I have.

Thanks for having a look at it

@lepinceau1 We posted our analysis in the linked issue ticket. There you also find suggestions you can try out.

Hi, I simply added cryptomator as defender exceptions and set crypto to “webdav” –> problem solved!
