I have been a very happy Cryptomator user for over a year and have greatly enjoyed its ease of use. On account of that, I have not kept pace with upgrade features/issues, including the vault reformatting.
I expected a quick and easy upgrade of the program this morning, but unfortunately my system has a glitch reported recently by another user that prevents the Cryptomator GUI from displaying in version 1.5.5. Consequently, I have no functionality and am not able to connect to my vaults (see Update Failed, App doesn't work, Data Trapped: NOW What? ) I was unable to fix the issue by altering Cryptomator’s Java configuration file as suggested in this prior string of posts.
I am running Windows 10 Pro, version 10.0.0.1. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Java and updated to version 8, update 251. I have Dokan library version 1.3.0.
In addition to troubleshooting advice, it would be very helpful to know if there is a reason why I am unable to access my vaults by re-installing prior versions of Cryptomator. When I do so, once the password for a vault is entered, the program indicates that the vault is opening, but the program appears to be frozen. I am not certain which version of 1.4, I had last installed, but have re-installed versions 1.4.1, 1.4.3, 1.4.4, 1.4.9, 1.4.10, and 1.4.15 with no success.
