Can't install on Ubuntu 18.04

Hello,

I just did a fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04 and went through the regular process of adding the ppa and so on, but when the time to actually install Cryptomator comes I’m getting “Unable to locate package cryptomator”. In fact, before this, when I do the ‘apt update’ after adding the ppa, I already see this output:

Err:17 http://ppa.launchpad.net/sebastian-stenzel/cryptomator/ubuntu bionic Release
404 Not Found [IP: 91.189.95.83 80]
[…]
E: The repository ‘http://ppa.launchpad.net/sebastian-stenzel/cryptomator/ubuntu bionic Release’ does not have a Release file.
N: Updating from such a repository can’t be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,

we didn’t publish Cryptomator 1.3.x to Bionic PPA yet. Since it is a LTS version we’re currently thinking about changing the distribution platform (maybe Snap store?) for upcoming versions.

In the meantime please use the 1.4.0-beta1 AppImage, which should run fine on Ubuntu.
