Can I use alternative WebDAV clients?

You don’t need to use your operating system’s default WebDAV client. Feel free to unmount the drive and use a client of your choice.

To retrieve the WebDAV URL, click on the small arrow next to the lock button.

Can you recommend any alternative WebDav client for windows ?

E.g., Cyberduck and Mountain Duck.

WebDrive is a good one as well.
