as 1.5.11 is released you can now upgrade to that and after it also upgrade to fuse 4.0.4 - tested it on 3 macs and works very well
about your question: System prefs => security => general - there you should see if the permission is granted or if you have to do so => click on the lock => pw => tick the box (Benjamin Fleischer) => reboot
