Hi, I decided to use parity-check files to detect possible corruption of my masterkey.cryptomator in the future. Do I understand correctly that this file, and its .bkup companion, both change when I change my password? I.e. that I need to create new parity-check files at that time?
Hi.
Notiz doesn’t.
See here: What happens exactly when I change password of a vault?
The blip file is created every time you successfully log into your vault. So if your masterkey file was damaged (for whatever reason) you have a chance to log in again using the backup file and your password.
Useful information! Thank you.
