Vault Size Limit on iCloud – Stuck at 18GB

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue with Cryptomator on my Mac (M1 MacBook Pro, latest macOS and latest Cryptomator version). When I create a new vault on iCloud Drive, it never exceeds 18GB, even though I have 800GB of free space available.

Additionally, when I try to add a folder to the vault, I get the following error message:

“Not enough disk space to copy … . Additional 415.6 GB of disk space is required to copy this file. You can manage disk space by removing items from the Storage section of About This Mac.”

Has anyone encountered this issue before? Is there a setting or workaround to allow larger vault sizes? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi.

Vaults don’t have size limits.
The only limit is your storage capacity.
Are you sure that you have enough local free space?

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your response! You were right—the issue was that the drive had too much purgeable space. After freeing it up, everything is working as expected.

I appreciate your help!
