Vault in iOS files vault stuck in perpetual 'Unlock Required'

I have a single Cryptomator vault hosted via OneDrive (Business) provider configured for the Files app multiple iOS devices (iPhone, iPad). However it seems after some time the vault in the files app will never unlock.

Opening the vault will prompt that an unlock is required, however a faceID unlock will just return to the prompt.

Disabling / Re-Enabling faceID unlock to prompt for the unlock key doesn’t work either. The only option is to remove the vault, remove the OneDrive provider (since Cryptomator can no longer access the provider) and re-add everything from scratch.

BoxCryptor iOS used to have the same problem; OneDrive login token would expire but would the app would just prompt to reauthenticate. I suspect something similar is happening here but since Cryptomator can’t just renew a login this whole rigmarole is required which makes it practically unusable.

We’ll look into it. However, a faster workaround would be to add the connection to OneDrive again without removing anything. If you do it this way, the old connection will be replaced.

Ah, good call that is a faster workaround. Doesn’t require removing anything, just re-add the account and a new authentication window should popup.
