Use of a vault open on different devices at the same time

hi to all…
i’m approaching your product and i have some question about it.

the scenario that i imagine to use is the following:

i have my Google Drive account
my wife has her Google Drive account
my son has his Google Drive account

every personal device (daddy, mummy, son) have Google Drive client connected to the three account.

So for example

into my pc i have:

  1. my synced vault into my account open in R/W mode;
  2. my wife synced vault into my wife account open in read only mode;
  3. my son synced vault into my son account open in read only mode;

into my wife pc there are.:

  1. my synced vault into my account open in read only mode;
  2. my wife synced vault into my wife account open in R/W mode;
    3 my son synced vault into my son account open in read only mode;

and so on for my son pc…

It is possible use Cryptomator to create and use a vault into synced folder used by 3 different device at the same time in a scenario described before ?
Or it might be some problem of inconsistency ?
And in case of vault used at the same time on different devices in R/W mode in all devices ?

thanks in advance for the clarification

Let’s have a look from you perspective only.
But it’s the same for your sons pc etc

If you have all vault files synced to your pc ( yours, your sons, etc) you have actually all vaults on your pc and can access them if you have the passwords. (Means you’ll have multiple vaults in your Cryptomator desktop app)

But there might be conflicts when multiple users work on the same files.

Please also keep in mind, that you can only connect to one gdrive account with the mobile apps.

So the short answer is: yes (for the desktop application) and no ( for the mobile apps)

Additional info regarding the inconsistency:
Basically Cryptomator does not resolve any conflicts. It just takes the resolved conlicts from the sync software. But you can open vaults in read-only mode to prevent such.
