The advantage of Cryptomator is that it is most famous for compatibility with the cloud, so why exactly?

In the case of mobile applications, this advantage may be very important, but in the case of the PC version, I don’t know.
Under the premise that Cloud Storage is mounted and used on a PC in the same form as a local drive, it doesn’t seem to matter much if you use something like VeraCrypt.

However, this question is not meant to denigrate Cryptomator, I just want to know if there’s anything else I didn’t know until now.

Veracrypt encrypts/decrypts a single container that can get very large. If you make a small change to a file inside this container, the whole container needs to be uploaded to the cloud storage, even on a PC.

Cryptomator encrypts/decrypts the files individually. If you make a small change to a file, only the file has to be uploaded to the cloud storage.

That’s basically the main, but crucial difference. Does that help?
