I’ve been using Cryptomator (Windows and Android) for a while now. So far it works.
However, I am somewhat bothered by the fact that Cryptomator is extremely slow (Windows 10), especially when displaying larger folders and also when searching.
That’s why I wanted to test Stegano’s Privacy Suite.
However, I found out that Cryptomator and the new system from Steganos do not work on the same system. Both data safe technologies (file-based) use FUSE (file system in user area). Therefore, the two programs are not compatible with each other.
Steganos also has the disadvantage that it does not work in Android. Cryptomator has an advantage here.
However, I have to say that Steganos works much faster, both in the display and in the search.
Why is that?
Is it to be expected that Cryptomator will also become faster in future updates?
