Online encryption/decryption

I’m using cryptomator on several platforms (windows, Linux Zorin, Android) now, and in my experience, it is almost perfect. Almost.
The one thing I miss, is the ability to use Cryptomator as an on-line facility, so I could encrypt/decrypt my locally stored cryptomator vaults (well, stored on a USB drive that is) independent from where I am, and without needing to install or use the cryptomator (portable) app on the used computer.

At home, on my own computer, laptop, tablet or even my phone, installing or using the Cryptomator app, isn’t a problem at all. Yet -for instance- at work I’m not allowed nor is it possible, to either install the Windows version or even execute the portable version of Cryptomator. Also, when abroad, in an internet cafe or wherever devices are temporary being used, an on-line version of Cryptomator, running in the browser and performing the encryption/decryption locally, would be a perfect addition allowing a user to access encrypted files anytime, anywhere, whilst eliminating the need to carry unencrypted information on portable media.

Being multiplatform as it is already, Cryptomator already is ever so close to be a truly universally usable functionality. Just this final step, separates Cryptomator from it….

Are there any plans to offer this service on-line?

I couldn’t trust an unknown browser not to intercept my data. Use either the app on your phone via a VPN or take a laptop. Just my opinion.

No, not planned.
