Newbie: when dropping file in the fault is it supposed to also show in file explorer?

I dropped a file in a vault but the file still exists in windows explorer. Is this normal for the user to decide what to do or did I do something wrong? Newbie, just installed program today.

If you “Copy” the file to the vault the original will remain wherever it was.

If you “Move” the file to the vault it will not.
