New to Cryptomator need some help

Everybody I am new to cryptomator

I am using cryptomator on my iphone 16 pro max and also my windows 11 pro laptop

my issue below is in regards to my iphone.

I have a hard time finding the path to my vault. I have because I uninstalled and reinstalled Cryptomator. I named my folder pcloud/2026 I and I don’t see that vault anywhere When you make a vault isn’t there a path that I can follow to find out where it is in cryptomator?
I do see a folder called pcloud vault and it has the cryptomator master key there so I know that is the encrypted vault it has that .txt file too that says This is your vault storage location do not alter any files within this directory do not paste any files for encryption in this directory.

I am DETERMINED to figure it out. I am somewhat tech savvy but not a computer programmer BUT I very good with security & have knowledge on being secure but cryptomator seems a bit complicated ?

I DO see “C” and “D” in that folder in pcloud in the folder named pcloud vault It has in that the vault cryptomator master key important text which tells me this is the vault to use above that in the D folder I see a lot of files I’m going to clip on them they look encrypted but I don’t know where they came from I want to make sure I’m encrypting the right items that I want encrypted. the “C’ folder is empty. Is that where I can add files?

When I move stuff to a new vault I still have a copy of it in my P cloud storge do I need to delete that so I only have the copy and the cryptomator?
I would assume so but I want to make sure I’m doing it right?? Here is what I found when I Googled it Also >> I will put them on a encrypted SD card that way if I run into a problem using cryptomator I’ll still have my files.

is it me? or do others find cryptomator a but difficult to use with few videos to show how to find vaults, make vaults & use cryptomator??

Yes, you must delete the original unencrypted files from your pCloud storage once you have placed them into the Cryptomator vault

The Cryptomator vault does not automatically delete or “move” the original files; it encrypts them and creates an entirely separate, secure copy

Need Help to Understand Decryption Process of Cryptomator

When I deleted a kryptomator the first time and reinstalled it and it found that vault it remade the vault up and put everything in there.
Itdon’t know where the vault is so that I can add more things to it I think that vault is the new one that just says pcloud because it has that txt file that says this is your vault

The iOS app works different than the desktop app. You’ll have to set up a connection to pcloud and then add an existing vault, or create a new one. After that enable you vault in iOS to be shown in your files app as folder (like for example gdrive, pcloud etc)
