Is Flatpak an official distribution?

Hello, I’m new to Cryptomator and have a question:

Flatpak is cited here as an option for Linux.

Is it official? Can we expect it to be as up-to-date and trustworthy as the AppImage distribution?

It is official, yes, see e.g. GitHub - cryptomator/flathub, we are updating and maintaining it as well, but I cannot answer whether this distribution channel is generally as trustworthy as an AppImage variant for you as it depends on a lot of factors.

Thanks for your reply, SailReal. By “factors” you mean things like Flatpak configuration, mirror servers etc.?

Yes, exactly. I don’t mean anything in relation to Cryptomator, but only to the distribution channels in general.
