Internal Video Player and PDF Viewer for the Android App

Hi,

While the app already supports viewing photos internally, videos currently require an external app to play. Similarly, adding an internal PDF viewer would minimize the need for external apps, thereby reducing the risk of data leakage. These features would improve the app’s self-sufficiency and make it even more secure for handling sensitive files.

The current Save button resembles an exit or navigation icon, which might be confusing. Replacing it with a more recognizable floppy disk icon or another commonly accepted save symbol would improve user experience and clarity.

Sounds interesting, although I have absolutely no idea how difficult that would be. Personally, I don’t mind downloading the file and playing it or opening it in a phone app.

There is a risk that the app may retain its own copy of the decrypted file without the user’s knowledge:

In my opinion, apps like Signal and Threema, which open video, audio, and pictures using their own internal viewers without requiring an external app, provide a more secure approach.
