How to re-create Cryptomator folder from OneDrive content

I am using Cryptomator to backup my files on OneDrive. The OneDrive folder is residing on my D: drive and I lost it. I don’t want OneDrive to synch because I am afraid that the empty Cryptomator folder my be interpreted as all the files being erased. I have over 680 GB of data to transfer.
Also, in order to save space, I have created the Cryptomator folder with the “free space” OneDrive option. In other words, I am using my files in clear as they reside on my D: drive and I synch the appropriate folders to the Cryptomator folder when I want to back them up.
Is there a quick way to restore the Cryptomator folder?

Hi,

I don’t have a specific answer to your situation just a comment. It is critical to do backups of your vaults even if it’s to a local external SSD drive.

If the vault is on the server then as often as you deem necessary you should synchronize that Vault to somewhere else and to do that I use a free program called free file sync.

If somebody can help you recover your data I would recommend giving that a try so you don’t get into this problem situation again.

Do you have unencrypted copies of all 600 GB of data? If so you can create a new Vault and put the files back in it.
