I received a few sync errors from the MEGA Sync desktop client and am wondering - is it possible to identify which of my original files correspond to the encrypted files that did not sync properly?

You can, but only if you compare the timestams. For proper Synchronisation Cryptomator used the same timestamp for the encrypted files as your unencrypted file has.
So if you have a file that cannot be synced with you mega client, search for the unencrypted file in you vault with the same timestamp.
It is not possible to draw conclusions from the file name of an encrypted file to the file name of the unencrypted file.
