Google Drive concern

Hi, and thanks for your hard work.
My question is about cloud services like Google Drive.
Given how Google and Microsoft have acted against 3rd party software in
the past and which they still crack down on from time to time, I wonder if there
is a chance that Google in the future, for whatever reason, will block the
Cryptomator service? Of course, if there is a technical possibility for Google to do so?

Edit Michael: I have no idea why you wanted to show your private address and email here as a footer. But for whatever reason: I recommend not to do it and so I deleted it from your profile.

Cryptomator files are type *.c9r.

If google decides that they do not allow those files to be stored anymore, then Cryptomator is locked out.

But if they do so, imagine the reputation loss if google is actively blocking encrypted files of a well known app on their system. I would guess they know they would loose a lot of customers, because customers could never know which filetype is next and thus google would not be a reliable storage provider anymore

(speculation of course)

I can agree… but have Google ever cared about their reputation before? :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
