First alpha version of 1.5.0

You can now download Cryptomator 1.5.0-alpha1 from our GitHub page. :tada:

This is not yet feature-complete and even misses a few things from earlier versions, since we decided to do a complete rewrite of the UI code.

This pre-release version does not yet support opening your existing vaults, because we want to broadly test the new vault format first. For production use please stick with 1.4.x for now.

Feel free to post any feedback below this post or on GitHub. Please refrain from opening new topics if you encounter any issues, so we can find all feedback in one place. :slight_smile:

What I like:

  • The GUI. :slight_smile: (Though I like the old one just fine)
  • Blazingly fast
  • Dark Mode!! :smiley:
  • Hide Window after start!! :smiley:
  • Context menu options of the taskbar icon! (Open other vaults without opening the app GUI)

What I do not like so much:

  • If the password has been saved previously, it is still necessary to confirm the unlock dialog and accept the success dialog. I would expect the button “Unlock” to simply unlock my vault without any more clicking (if the password has been saved)
