Fingerprint sensor on android broken now I can't access folder

I’ve been accessing an encrypted folder with my fingerprint sensor. The sensor doesn’t work anymore. When I am trying to access the folder, cryptomator is asking me for fingerprint or password. I don’t remember the password.

  1. Would I be able to access the files through an external OTG USB fingerprint reader. If yes, which fingerprint reader will work?

  2. Are there any other ways of accessing the folder?

If you do not remember your password, and cannot use the fingerprint access on your device any more, there’s no way to access your data.
Although not being an expert in this, Im pretty sure that even if there is a way to connect external fingerprint sensors to your device, these sensors should create new fingerprint keys and therefore will not unlock your vault. (just assuming).
