In Windows 11, when I press Home tab I see a list of all the recent fine names that I was working with. Unfortunately I can see the names of files hat I recently worked with in my Cryptomator Vault, though if I click them they don’t open assuming my vault is locked at thsi moment. What concerns me is that if any hacker gets in my PC then he/she can see names of files in my vault which is concerning. Please comment.
On Windows, resent used filesnames are stored in the windows cache. You can disable this in windows settings.
Please keep in mind that cryptomator was designed to cover data privacy issues with online stored files.
If you want to cover that for your local device (stolen device, etc) you should consider a complete local encryption like bitlocker or veracrypt in addition to cryptomator.
