Empty directories?

Hello,
I use the version 1.13.0 AppImage on Ubuntu.
I just note that I have full of empty dorectories on the “d” directory generated by Cryptomator. Here an example of encrypted files ( a few files of few ko):

Should I remove the empty ones, or keep them?
I do synchronizations to backups my vaults, so I wonder if I should backup them too, or only those contains files.

You can remove all empty two-letter directories. See also

Rule of thumb: Empty directory <vault>/d/XX/YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY/ is important and should not be deleted to maintain integrity of the vault. Empty directory <vault>/d/XX/ could be deleted but you have to make sure that the vault directory is 100% available (e.g., fully synced with a sync client if stored in a cloud storage).
