I created a vault stored in Dropbox.
My Dropbox account has a retention of 30 days.
Does the retention work with CM?
In other words: imagine I accidentally delete a file IN the vault, would I be able to recover that file?
Yes. Normally, Cryptomator creates for each file moved into the vault only one encrypted file (there are exceptions, though). If this file is recovered (this also means placed at the same spot inside the encrypted vault directory), you can normally view and edit it with Cryptomator.
I tested it and indeed it works.
However when multiple files are deleted or you don’t know when a file was deleted it’s difficult to identify the correct file in the [deleted files] folder since the file/folder names are encrypted - which makes sense of course.
Nevertheless; any smart suggestion around that problem?
