Data size on cloud folder is significantly smaller than on local drive

Hi all,
i just created a new vault on my google drive and uploaded about 10 GB images onto it. I wondered about the short uploading time but in my WEB-DAV drive, all files seems to be present with their original size. But when i look directly into my google drive web app, it says that only 400 MB are in use so far - Can that be real? I can’t imagine that cryptomator has compressed my image data while uploading …

UPDATE: Just found the solution: Allthough the explorer popup says that the upload is completed, it still loads data in background as task manager shows. This cryptomator caching mode is not quite obvious to notice …

Cryptomator is not uploading anything and therefor not caching. It’s the sync client (in you case the google client) that does the uploading.
