Closing cloud without closing crypto vault

When the cloud(via webDAV) is open via mountainduck and the crypto vault is open everything works fine. But when I forget to close the crypto vault and just close the cloud the crypto vault does not exist anymore.
When I mount the cloud again, the files are all available. But the crypto vault is basically gone. I can’t just close it. All files are available.
What to do?

I’m using it on MacOs.

It should not matter at all if you close your vault and then disconnect your mounted cloud starage or just disconnect your storage.
I cannot follow what you mean when you write „the vault does not exist anymore“.
Please describe exactly (step by step) what you are doing, what the system behaves like, and what you expect should happen instead.

  • I create a vault on my cloud with cryptomator via mountainduck and open it and save files in it.
  • Now I don’t close the crypto vault and turn off my computer or close mountainduck.
  • I start again or open mountainduck. Then the files that were saved in the cryptovault are already there. It looks as if the crypto vault is still open. But when I want to close the crypto vault. There is nothing to close. It looks as if the crypto vault is not there anymore. I will sent you a video.

Can you sent me a private message? Then I can sent you the video if you still need it.

Hi.
As you are not using the Cryptomator app but Mountainduck instead, this is the wrong place.
I recommend to open a request at

I do not use mountainduck. But I use the little brother cyberpunk some times. Here the implementation of Cryptomator encryption in does not work similar to the desktop app. For example if I have stored the vault password in cyberduck, it does show the opened vault as folder and will open it automatically as soon as you navigate to that folder. Maybe this leads to irritation.
