Can't Reveal Drive with Cryptomator 1.19.2 and WinFsp 2.1.25156 on Windows 11 25H2

I was running Cryptomator 1.7.2 with WinFsp 2022.2 (1.12.22339) without any issues. I installed Cryptomator 1.19.2 (wouldn’t install until I uninstalled Cryptomator and WinFsp first). I can Unlock the drives successfully, but unable to reveal them. I tried version 1.17.2 as well, but had the same results. I also tried removing and then re-adding the vault, but still no success. I went back to my original versions and all is working again.

Any suggestions on how to get the latest version of Cryptomator to work?

Hi. I am running WinFsp 2025 (2.1.25156) and Cryptomator 1.19.2 also on Windows 11 with no issues.

Please check if your WinFsp was updated.

If not you can either update it manually (uninstall the old version, install the new one), or you can uninstall it and also cryptomator, and then run the cryptomator setup again. It then will also install WinFsp.

I confirmed that WinFsp was version 2025 (2.1.25156). I had installed Cryptomator 1.19.2 after I had uninstalled the old version of Cryptomator and uninstalled WinFsp 2022. Cryptomator 1.19.2 install installed WinFsp 2025, but it would not reveal the vault drive.

I then removed everything again and installed Cryptomator 1.7.3 (WinFsp 2022) and all is working correctly. This was my original running configuration.

Then I removed everything again and installed Cryptomator 1.16.0 (this installs WinFsp 2023), and I confirmed that all worked correctly (able to unlock and reveal vault drives successfully).

Then I removed everything again and installed Cryptomator 1.17.1 (this installs WinFsp 2025), and confirmed that it was working correctly as well.

At this point I removed Cryptomator 1.17.1 but left WinFsp installed (as it is the same version installed with the 1.19.2 package). Then I installed Cryptomator 1.19.2, and it unlocked the vaults but reveal failed.

I was going to back down to Cryptomator 1.17.1, but decided to try and perform a “Repair” install of 1.19.2 (this took 3 or 4 times longer than a normal install). Once completed Cryptomator 1.19.2 is now working fine.
