Cant rename folder in OneDrive from iOS

Although uploading files to a OneDrive vault does work for me, creating a new folder does not work as expected.
What I mean by that is, that I can create a folder and name it as I please, but it gets created as „Neuer Ordner“ and can’t be renamed because as soon as I try renaming, it remains in the „Waiting“ state.
I’ve already tried to remove the OneDrive vault as well as the OneDrive connection from the app and re-added but that didn’t help
Can anyone confirm this?

Yes. Same problem here.

Hi!
Uploading files from iOS to OneDrive works now, but renaming files oder adding new folders ist still a problem. Deleting and new install of Cryptomator changed nothing. Will there be a fix?

The new version worked for me too. Now the issue is back and uploads remain in „waiting“. This reoccured when I changed to a new iPhone 16.

Hi, and thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately, I was unable to reproduce the issue you described.

So, you create a new folder, name it as desired, but when saving it, it shows up as “Neuer Ordner” instead of the chosen name? When you then try to rename it, the folder enters a “waiting” state that it never resolves?

Unfortunately, this behavior did not occur in my tests. I am using the latest iOS 18 version on an iPhone 15.

Have you updated to the latest Cryptomator version 2.6.2? If yes, it would be helpful to enable debug mode in the Cryptomator settings, reproduce the issue again, and then send us the generated log file. This will allow us to better understand what’s happening in the background and identify the problem, as I was unable to reproduce the error myself.

  1. Open the Files App
  2. Create a folder and name it “something”
  3. The folder sits there in the “Waiting” state with a creation date of 01.01.01.
  4. when you quit and re-open the files app, you see that a folder named “Neuer Ordner” has been created and your previous folder “something” is gone.
  5. When you try to rename the folder “Neuer Ordner” to “something”, the folder remains in the “Waiting…” state
  6. Again force-quitting the app, the folder is again called “Neuer Ordner” and “something” is gone.

I am on 2.6.2, yes and I’m also on iOS 18 on an iPhone 15 Pro.

Log sent just now. Ticket ID 822880

@Roeshimi Thank you for the quick response! I’ll attempt to reproduce the issue again shortly, as you described, and will also review the logs you provided. I’ll keep you updated as soon as I have more information.

I appreciate your patience in the meantime.
