Cryptomator desktop only creates local files. So if you have created a vault, the files should be stored where you selected to create your vault. No matter of the vault is mounted in your Cryptomator app or not.
Not sure I see the relevance that has to my question?
If I try to create a new vault with the same name - to “add the vault” as it says I can so that was removed - it says already exists - but the removed vault is no longer visible.
Again my question is how can I re-access a removed vault? Any files in the removed vault appear lost.
If you delete a vault from the app, the vault files are not deleted. If you want to add the vault again, just hit the „add“ button and select the Masterkey file.
If the file of your existing vault is not there you are either looking looking at the wrong place, or something else deleted the vault files.
In any case I supported so far, people were looking at the wrong place to find their existing vault.
Oh I see now - the non appearance of any virtual drives was slightly throwing me. I can browse to the relevant location and see the Vaults and Masterkeys - and their encrypted data and reopen then they unhide in the program interface.
