Can't access files (Too many files in a directory?)

Hi,

I can’t access a folder anymore. I’ve copied a lot of files onto the cryptomator drive and now I’ve got a folder with a few files (The cryptomator dir is 56GB big and consists of more than 100k files. Also the files all seem to be in one folder (/d/D4/…/)). However now I can’t access this folder. Windows just seems to time out with dokany. No errors in the log, just a bunch of TRACE o.c.frontend.dokany.ReadWriteAdapter - (47) findFiles(): found file xyz . (Side-note: When it times out like this, the drive stays inaccessible and you have to lock/unlock again.) Webdav also times out.

How can I access my files now? The files are on a local hard drive and I am using Windows 8.1

You’re not alone, and it’s quite an issue with Cryptomator or the third-party components being used.
I’d recommend you to try and access your vault via Cyberduck (Mac/Windows) as it has its own implementation. It wont be faster but it won’t suffer from the timeouts of Explorer.
