After allowing Windows to install updates last night (and rebooting) Visio, MSWord and Excel could no longer open office files from within my Vault. Other applications like Notepad, Acrobat and Paintbrush could open files without issues. Only Office was effected and it applied to all files, old or new. It was not a file corruption issue. When attempting to open any Office file from within the Vault, the Office app in question prompted to enable Office Connected Experiences, which I could do as this is controlled by policy. A second reboot appeared to fix the issue. May have related to Windows initially attempting to reopen open files after an update-related reboot before Vault was unlocked. Posted as informational for other users.
