Why are so many system drivers possible? It’s a bit of a hassle to choose which one you want to use and gives me the impression that I have to be careful to not lose data by using the wrong driver. .
Why not just provide just the best one for each os and make sure it works super stable?
The driver is just a virtual file system to show your unencrypted files in the system file explorer.
Encryption/decryption etc is not affected by it. That’s why you can switch between the driver.
Because they offer different functions. So you can choose based on your needs.
You don’t want to choose? Not problem. For you is the „automatic“ option the right one.

Automatic is what I’d ask for. It seems like it was recently added, at least it was not present in older versions. Good to see that this is already added and that my question is outdated.
I still wonder if it’s a good idea to support so many different setups. It increases the complexity and thus the the risk to introduce bugs.
