Any way to search contents of subfolders on Android?

Is there any way to search the contents of subfolders in an Android Cryptomator vault? I can search subfolders in my Vault in Windows using Windows Explorer search, but on Android the search function in the Cryptomator app seems to only search the current folder.

We have two feature requests tracked on Github regarding this topic https://github.com/cryptomator/android/issues/94 and https://github.com/cryptomator/android/issues/387 but currently the search functionality is limited to one folder.

i must say at this moment,
the android app is NOT very useable.
