Gd morning,
I am not a computer specialist, so I need some advice.
I use cryptomator for my Dropbox and it works fine at desktop and on smartphone (honor, Android 10).
Now I tried to generate a new vault at my private synology cloud via the app.
When doing so I get an error during creation of the vault.
Is there a description step by step available?
I have a two factor id with my cloud (Google authenticator).
I can access my cloud with other apps via internet (file, photo, music).
I also had installed WebDAV at synology and did manage the related ports at the router.

Any hints are welcome.

What kind of error do you get?

You can enable debug mode and send the log, then we can look into the problem in more detail.

Are you sure you have configured the WebDAV interface correctly? Please verify this using any WebDAV client because the response to the first request looks pretty strange :thinking:

Gd morning,

I now installed webdav server at my synology cloud station again.
The error occurs again.
Since I am not sure: do I need any extra piece of software on my smartphone or is the webdav server on the cloud station sufficient?
Shall I send another log with the new webdav server installation?

Moin,

wir können das Thema schließen, habe jetzt einen vault erfolgreich ablegen können.
Zwei Dinge habe ich getan und vorher, mangels Wissen und Übung vergessen:

  • die Firewall an der synologyDiskstation für den webDav-Zugang konfiguriert (das war wahrscheinlich das dümmste)
  • bei der Konfiguration nicht nur die Serveradresse sondern den gesamten Pfad, inkl. Port und Verzeichnis (https://server.me:port/folder) eingegeben (war mir nicht bewusst, ist jetzt aber klar)

Dann war es super schnell angelegt.
Danke Dir/Euch trotzdem für die Beschäftigung mit dem Thema!

Müssen wir uns mal Gedanken zu machen, aber etwas in Richtung http[s]://server_url:port/folder könnten wir als Hinweis beim Anlegen einer WebDAV-Verbindung tatsächlich hinzufügen.
