Adding an existing USB drive vault (with Android Cryptomator)

I mainly use Cryptomator on my PC, but I always keep a copy of the vault on a USB stick so I can also view the documents in the vault on my Android phone. I do this:

“Add existing vault,” “Local storage.” And I search for the folder on the USB stick. So far, so good.

Then I select “masterkey.cryptomator” and get the message “Vault is root directory of the cloud connection. Create a new cloud connection…..” and an “OK.”

So, it’s not working. Am I doing something wrong?

Now I can answer my own question. I think I know what the problem is…

I copied the old USB stick and used the new one on my phone. Since that didn’t work, I removed the vault and selected “Add existing vault.” Then I chosed “Local storage,” and the folder name was already there…

But that doesn’t work. You have to remove the folder first (arrow on the right) and then “Tap here to add new folders” (+). etc.

Now at least everything is clear to me. I hope it helps others too…
