I want to make a new Cryptomator vault in a folder I created in the root directory of my Fedora 44 system, let’s call it /test-vault. However, when I go to the add new vault dialogue and select “custom location” and navigate to root, /test-vault doesn’t show up in the list of folders. I thought this might be an ownership issue, but /test-vault still doesn’t show up even after I set ownership of /test-vault to the user from which I’m running Cryptomator. There is no option to type the desired folder in directly. Is there a way around this?
I figured out the issue. I had Cryptomator installed via Flatpak and so I needed to manually add read/write permissions for /test-vault via System Settings > Application Permissions > Cryptomator > Filesystem Access.
