Tired of hearing the words “Black Friday”? So are we – that’s why our sale is in December, with no hidden terms or price tricks. From December 1st to 31st, you can get the full version of our mobile apps and the Supporter Certificate at a 33%* discount. Don’t miss out on this offer!
If you go into the settings inside the app and there is no "Unlock Full Version“ option below “About Cryptomator”, you already have the lifetime license.
I bought this, and immediately received the Windows supporter certificate. However, how do I get the APK? None was sent to me, even though I was under the impression that’s how it worked. I can download the application from F-droid, but it challenges me to provide a license key. This does not seem to be the same as the Windows supporter certificate I received by email.
The supporter certificate is to support the desktop development (all OS). Its not a license for Android. If you want to use cryptomator on Android, you’ll have to buy the android license. If you want to use it on iOS (read & write), you’ll have to buy the iOS licence.
I understand that. So when it says you get them both by using the promo code, it doesn’t mean you get both by using the promo code, even though that is what is says?
If that is the case (and it was just worded poorly), can I “return” the supporter certificate? I just what the APK. I didn’t realize I would need a master’s degree in order to make such a purchase.
Sure, send me a direct message with the email address you used to purchase it and we will initiate the refund process. You can also send it to support@cryptomator.org
Ah… I remember the days when this confused me as well. I think, in all the years of computing, I’ve only seen one other product/company do this. I understand now but I also understand how it can be confusing to others.
That said… I wonder if the reason the price has to go “up” is because it is a little confusing to people. : )
Happy New Year!!
P.S. In case I need to say… the “supporter certificate” is text that you put ONLY into the desktop version of Cryptomator… to (IIRC) allow special features and remove nags… and supports the developers. I love it because I’m a HUGE fan of “lifetime this that and the other”… but so few companies are able to stay in business giving lifetime codes/licenses/etc. So, everyone, jump in… you’ve only got a few more minutes… they make great stocking stuffers, er, I mean, envelope stuffers. : )
