Am I right to think that if a group work together (with vault held in say a shared Dropbox folder):
a) they share the vault password,
b) when 1 of the group leaves, the password can be changed, (and distributed the remaining members) - and hence effectively remove access to the repository for the one who left.

both: yes.
But keep in mind that there might be sync conflicts if two or more people are working on the same document.
If this happens, cryptomator will create 2 files and not merge them.

Multiple Locations

We should document this behavior somewhere at some point but working on the encrypted data from multiple locations works the same as if you’d work on unencrypted data from multiple locations. If there is a sync conflict, you’re probably familiar with how most cloud storage services deal with this. They’ll create a conflict file (e.g., by appending a (1) to indicate that there was a conflict) and you have to figure out which file to keep. The same happens on encrypted files.
