Install cryptomator on Debian without root

How do I install cryptomator on Debian without root and without gui?

I couldn’t find any documentation about that.

Cheers, Markus

without root

Download our AppImage:

without gui

Look at this project:

A note of warning should be giving, because we will release a new version of Cryptomator this quarter and it won’t be compatible with the cli version, see Cryptomator + FolderSync on Linux

Thanks, I did the following

chmod a+x cryptomator-1.4.15-x86_64.AppImage

so I am kind of stuck here unfortunately :frowning:

about the CLI Version by incompatible you mean they won’t be able to read each others vaults?

Oh, sorry, I overlooked the word “and” for the two conditions.

Your only option currently is using the CLI.

about the CLI Version by incompatible you mean they won’t be able to read each others vaults?

Only one way incompatible. The CLI cannot read vaults created with version 1.5.0 of Cryptomator. For the other direction, version 1.5.0 will upon request migrate vaults of old formats to the new format. For more info, again see Cryptomator + FolderSync on Linux.
