Spam to Supporter License-specific email

I got spam today from a survey company called Savanta to an unique email address (via SimpleLogin) I have only ever used for my Cryptomator Supporter License (paid in May 2025). The Cryptomator Privacy Policy specifically says email addresses will not be shared with 3rd parties. The survey did not ask Cryptomator-related questions (past demographics, it started asking about investments before I abandoned it).

Has anyone else received this spam? If so, was the Cryptomator email address list compromised or shared in violation of their privacy policy?

thank you for posting this. We are currently not aware of any leaks, but investigate if this might be the case.

You used the email to order a supporter certificate. This is different from contacting us. As we write in our privacy policy, the email is shared with third parties to fulfill the order (see 6. Use in the Course of Online Orders (E-Commerce)). Hence, a leak can potentially also appear on the third parties.
