Littered empty folders in ~/.local/share/Cryptomator/mnt

Hi, using Cryptomator 1.4.6 (latest version available in disco dingo PPA) under Pop!_OS 19.04.

In my cryptomator mnt folder, looks like every time I re-open a vault, a new numbered folder is created (e.g. mnt/[vault hash]_2), and the older vault instance folders remain and are now empty. Now I have over a dozen of these cluttering the mnt directory.

Does cryptomator not autoclean these empty folders? What is a safe way to clean and maintain this mnt directory?
