Automatic encryption and sync with cloud services

Hello,

can the Cryptomator be setup to automatically backup and encrypt everything including contacts and calendar and then send it to iCloud (so even for Apple it wouldn’t be readable)? iCloud would then be only syncing this folder and nothing else? Or if not, is there any way (different app) to store contacts/calendard localy on the device under certain folder which could then be encrypted by Cryptomator and after that it then back it up on cloud so it can be synced later?

Hi,

no this is not possible because things like calendar or contacts are fully integrated into iOS and data cannot be loaded from/saved to a third party app like cryptomator.
Means: Apple does not allow to configurate the local storage place location of this data.
