Are vaults locked automatically upon disconnect

Hi all,

When I connect to a WebDav and unlock a vault on it using Cryptomator, what happens to the vault upon disconnect? Will it remain unlocked/accessible for other users connected to the same WebDav or will it be closed/encrypted? I.e. the question is, is decryption relevant data only stored in the Cryptomator client or also in the files related to the vault?

Thanks, Jan

If you loose the connection to your vault, you can consider it as closed.

I’m not sure if I understand your question right, but the data of your encrypted files is only stored in your vault.

If you loose the connection to your vault, you can consider it as closed.

I see. Thanks. That is all I wanted to know. I was wondering, whether the vault files are changed so that someone else could read the data, when I have unlocked it and lost the connection.
